All children in camp are put in groups of approximately 20 children.
In the Junior and Senior groups boy groups have male counselors
and girl groups have female counselors. Each group has its own dressing
facility (bunk), and each group swims twice daily, with a morning
instructional swim, and an afternoon free swim.
Nursery Group:
Our nursery group Is composed of children 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 years of
age. It is a separate unit within the camp area. It is a specialized
program supervised by qualified nursery school staff, with a ratio
of 5 children to one counselor. Activities, including music, nature
study, arts and crafts, athletic skills, etc. are particularly geared
toward this age group, so as to promote social skills and a sense
of self-reliance. Children swim twice daily with morning instruction
in an age appropriate heated pool where they are able to stand.
Camp Nabby hosts an orientation for the nursery group. Generally
the orientation day is offered on one of two Sundays and will last
approximately 45 minutes. The purpose of the meeting is to make
opening day for our youngest campers a little more relaxed.
Junior Camp:
Our junior campers are ages 4 ½ - 8 ½ (K-3rd grade).
The junior camp groups have at least 2 counselors and a CIT. Junior
camp is a structured, full day program that includes specialty activities.
Campers participate in activities including free swim, swim instruction,
nature study, music and gymnastics. These activities are taught
by our regular camp specialty counselors.
Senior Camp:
Our Senior are ages 8 ½ - 13 (4th through 8th grade). The
senior camp groups have 2 counselors. The groups have tennis instruction
each morning, and may choose two 45 minute interest periods each
afternoon. Campers participate in activities including free swim,

basis with campers, group head counselors and parents, and oversees
each group. Head counselors are teachers, athletic coaches or school
administrators with extensive experience.
Specialty Counselors:
In addition to our regular group counselors, we have many specialty
counselors, including 8-10 swimming, 3 tennis, and 3 arts and
crafts, and at least 1 each in music, nature and gymnastics,
plus a registered nurse or E.M.T. on duty all day.
C.I.T. Program:
The CIT (Counselor in Training) program is designed to train 10th

will learn how to lead campers in activities and how to build lasting
relationships with campers in a fun, safe environment. Our program
is LIMITED in number and participants are selected in this order:
